RIDER DONATIONS

Minimum Donation Requirement

Since RATPOD is a charity event, we are implementing a minimum donation requirement for all riders this year. Your registration fee covers the cost of putting on the ride (food, live music, support services, t-shirts, etc), so Camp's proceeds from this event really come in the form of rider-solicited donations. About half of our riders raise donations each year....our goal is to make that 100%. Your efforts directly benefit our cost-free programs for children, young adults and families affected by cancer.

Riders will each be asked to raise a minimum of $100 in donations by the date of the ride.

You are welcome to continue raising as much as you can right up until the ride in June.

If you do not wish to solicit donations, you will have the option of making the donation yourself, either at the time you register, or anytime prior to the event start.

Riders are asked to raise funds through sponsor donations to benefit Camp Mak-A-Dream. Donations may be based on a per mile or flat amount basis. Riders who raise more than a $1000 will receive an official RATPOD Yellow Jersey (Maillot Jaune!) and qualify for early entry into the following year's ride. Riders who raise $500-$999 will receive a free RATPOD jersey.

To help in your fund raising efforts, download this sample solicitation letter (PDF) which describes the RATPOD event and contains information about Camp Mak-A-Dream. Simply download the PDF and either print it out, or use it as an attachment when soliciting donations from family and friends.

Completed donation sheets (PDF) must be turned in prior to the start of the RATPOD race to be eligible for prizes at the end of the ride BBQ in Dillon, MT. Donations should be collected prior to the actual ride and can either be mailed to Camp Mak-A-Dream at the address below or turned in at the pre-ride check-in in Dillon. Mailed in donations must be received at the Camp BEFORE June 17 for them to count toward prizes.

Mak-A-Donation

You can create your own online fundraising page that you can then email out to your family, friends and business associates. Set your own goal (maybe a free Jersey?) and track your donaion progress.

Please note that donations called in or mailed to Camp Mak-A-Dream will not appear on rider online donation pages.

Prizes

Prizes will be given out to the riders who raise and turn in the highest dollar amount in donations for Camp Mak-A-Dream. Donations must be turned in prior to the start of the ride to qualify for grand prizes.
