Butte 100- [website]
The Butte 100 is an ultra endurance mountain bike race that takes place in southwest Montana over some of the best single-track trails around! This year, the race will be a 2x45 mile course with almost 20,000 feet of elevation gain.

CHaFE 150- [website]
One day 150-mile ride around the Scotchman's Peak proposed wilderness area. The ride starts at Coldwater Creek headquarters in Sandpoint, ID then along the northern shore of Lake Pend Oreille and east into Montana. The ride is a benefit event for the Ready! For Kindergarten program run by the Panhandle Alliance for Education.

Enjoy two days of cycling 139 miles (83 miles the first day, 56 miles the second) through rolling hills, tranquil valleys and challenging mountain passes.

Gears & Beers- [website]
Missoula Medical Aid works with rural and impoverished communities in Honduras as they seek to improve health and access to health care. They will be hosting their first ever mountain bike ride fund raising event in September 2011. More information coming soon.

Montana's largest Triathlon! - 1,000 yd swim, 20k Bike, 5k Run. This is being put on agin by the University of Montana Triathlon Club and the University of Montana.

Le Tour de Koocanusa- [website]
One of the best fully supported rides. The 83 mile bike ride tour the breathtaking shoreline of Lake Koocanusa, which is located in Northwest Montana. The ride includes support vehicles, 3 food/beverage stops, 2 water/electrolyte stops, and an awesome post-ride BBQ with live music, prizes, and raffles. All proceeds go to David Thompson Search & Rescue.

Bike Course: The 83 mile bike ride starts at the David Thompson Bridge located directly in front of the Libby Dam in Libby, MT. Following beautiful Lake Koocanusa the bike ride goes North on paved Forest Service Road 228. The ride crosses over Lake Koocanusa on the Rexford Bridge. The course then continues to follow Lake Koocanusa by heading South on Hwy 37. Course finishes on the David Thompson Bridge directly in front of the Libby Dam. Note: there will be 3 food & beverage stops for riders during the course.

Riverfront Blues Festival: Following the bicycle ride will be the Riverfront Blues Festival. The Blues Fest is a Friday & Saturday event. Riders will be given a Saturday Ticket to the Blues Fest.

Costs: $35 per person. (Includes Bike Ride and ONE SATURDAY TICKET to the Riverfront Blues Festival). Proceeds from bike ride will go to David Thompson Search & Rescue.

Missoula Lions BPR-Bicycle Poker Run- [website]
A 50 mile route follows the Clark Fork River from Bearmouth through Drummond and on to the Jens exit. If you have the stamina take the 100 mile route through Dummond over the Ovando Helmville Road to the Nevada Reservoir. One of the most beautiful and quiet rides in the Missoula area. Draw a card at each water stop. The top three hands at the end of the ride in both the 50 and 100 mile groups win $100, $75 and $50. Additional prizes will be raffled at the free BBQ following the ride. Prizes include cycling gear, clothing, gift cards and more.

Park-2-Park- [website]
Park-2-Park Montana is a multi-day bicycle ride in support of CASA of Montana, an organization that represents abused and neglected children in the court system. The goal is to raise money as well as awareness and publicity for CASA of Montana and CASA programs statewide.

The ride is planned for Sept. 1-5, 2008. The route will take cyclists from the KOA campground in St. Mary – on the eastern side of Glacier National Park – down along US 89 through Dupuyer, Choteau, Great Falls, White Sulphur Springs and Livingston and conclude at Gardiner near Yellowstone National Park. The route is approximately 400 miles, with daily ride distances of 55-100 miles. Riders will gather at the St. Mary KOA on Sunday, Aug. 31

TOSRV- West: Tour of Swan River Valley- [website]
The Tour of the Swan River Valley West (TOSRV West) is a two-day, 226 miles, challenging bicycle tour through western Montana's most scenic areas. It was established in 1970 as a recreational and social event rather than a race. Missoulians On Bicycles, the event organizer, provides food stops, baggage shuttle and overnight arrangements so that you can concentrate on enjoying the cycling.

C4S - Cycle for the Symphony
C4S is the first annual benefit ride for the Missoula Symphony. A joint effort between the Missoula Symphony Association and the Missoula Symphony Guild, this supported ride will begin and end in Philipsburg, MT. Payden Memorial Foundation - Blazing Saddles III Ride
The Payden Memorial Foundation is a community based non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals, families and groups living with children who have been touched by cancer.

Blazing Saddles is a bike ride through the Bridger Mountains and the scenic Shield's Valley with the option to ride 100, 70, 45 or 30 miles. Ride benefits the Payden Memorial Foundation.

Ride De Root
First annual RIDE DE ROOT covers 100 miles in the spectacular Bitterroot Valley, Montana. The ride starts and finishes in Darby, MT, and passes through the outskirts of Hamilton, Corvallis, Victor, and Pinesdale, and through the town of Stevensville. Proceeds go towards other events put on by the Parks and Recreation Committee.
